Disabled Access
Our building is over 200 years old, with lots of sloping floors and difficult sized doorways.
We are not officially disabled access friendly, but what follows are the important things you need to know if you plan to visit us.
The entrance and the bar all the way through to the end of the garden involves no steps, however the doorway to the conservatory which leads to the garden and the toilets is a little narrow.
There is a small step leading into the toilets which bend sharply to the right and left at a 90o angle: the step into the toilet is only 5cm high (we are unable to have a ramp into this as it is a fire exit corridor and restrictions are not permittable.
The men's toilet features two urinals on the left and a cubicle. This toilet has a hand rail but is not big enough for a wheelchair
The ladies toilet has two cubicles, one of these is suitable for Ambulant users as there is a little more space than a usual toilet - this features hand rails.
Our restaurant is up a steep set of stairs and has a large unisex toilet on the same floor.
Most of the seating in the bar area or conservatory is fixed or a high table - we have moveable seating in the conservatory.
I know these things are not ideal but if you have further questions feel free to email me with any questions.
